BOSS ACTING SCHOOL LTD
MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This agreement sets out the terms and conditions that will govern the relationship between us, BOSS Acting School LTD and you, the Parent/Guardian. It is a legally binding agreement. These conditions are important to uphold our standards and to ensure that all of our members get the most out of their BOSS Acting School membership.
FREE TRIAL SESSIONS
A BOSS free trial session (taster session) is strictly at the approval of the School Directors. Places are subject to availability and the free trial does not guarantee a place at BOSS. Due to strict class numbers, spaces are given on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Therefore, a membership can only be secured when payment is made.
Payments for classes are made via bank transfer for either a full term or two half term instalments.
Beans Class (60 Minutes): £150 per term (12 weeks) including VAT.
Beans Class (90 Minutes): £180 per term (12 weeks) including VAT.
Beans Class (Daytime 60 minutes): £85.00 per Term (10 weeks) including VAT.
Stage & Screen Class (90 Minutes): £210 per term (12 weeks) including VAT.
Private Tuition: £40 per hour session or £35 per 45 minute session including VAT - Paid per lesson or via bank transfer for either a full term or two half term instalments.
Payment must be made before you attend classes for that term or half term.
We have a 2 week cancellation policy. A request to terminate your membership must be in writing to email@example.com. If you request to cancel at the beginning of a term, you will receive a refund of lessons outstanding after the two week cancellation policy has finished. If payment of membership fees or tuition fees is not made in full for any reason we reserve the right to suspend your membership and to sadly exclude your child from the school.
BOSS has the right to change class timetables and teachers from time to time without notice. This comes down to our incredible teachers being working professionals. There is always the risk that a last minute change of teacher could be made, due to a professional commitment. This will only be done if absolutely necessary and we always do our best to keep teachers and class times as similar as possible but unfortunately this cannot always be guaranteed. We assure you that any cover teacher will have been through a gruelling selection process and will have amazing experience and all the significant documents a BOSS teacher requires.
In the event that a student is unable to attend a class, due to sickness, holiday or a decision by the parent or student not to attend, BOSS regrets that it is unable to refund any payment. However, in the event that the child is unable to attend the classes for more than one month due to injury or illness and is medically no longer able to attend we would be happy to suspend or cancel the membership without any further obligation to you. We will need the request to suspend a membership in writing and may require suitable medical evidence in the form of a GP or hospital letter setting out the medical reasons.
LATE OR FAILED FEES
In the event that you do not make the membership fee payments when due, the right to send the child to attend any class will be withdrawn until payment is received and brought up to date. If your account falls into arrears on more than three occasions during any one calendar year we reserve the right to terminate your membership with immediate effect. Late fees may incur a £5.00 admin fee.
We are a friendly and understanding team and urge our members to get in touch with us directly should they have any financial emergencies.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOS
At BOSS we reserve the right to use any individual or group photographs or videos of your child for press or promotional purposes.
Film/Television and Screen is one of the core modules at BOSS. We share footage for educational and promotional purposes. We will also showcase these throughout the year to friends and family. By registering with BOSS, you are agreeing to these terms of membership.
Bullying, harassment, abuse or other inappropriate behavior is NOT tolerated at BOSS. You and your child must treat all the BOSS members, children, parents, staff and teachers with respect and consideration. We do not tolerate rude, offensive or aggressive remarks and behaviour in any way and will result in expulsion.
Should you have a complaint or concern, we would appreciate you bringing your concern privately to our Directors, Jennifer & Samantha. We advise you to talk to us directly, call or make your concerns aware via bossactingschool@gmail. We will do everything we can to resolve this. Please do not air complaints or concerns on group WhatsApp’s as these are solely for collective information.
Smoking, consumption of alcohol and the use or being under the influence of illegal substances is not permitted in any location or venue where BOSS classes operate.
Students will participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform BOSS staff of any existing injuries or medical conditions. We must be made aware of medical conditions stated and any changes to such information must be notified to us in writing.
By accepting these terms, you give permission for BOSS Staff to take first aid or emergency measures as judged necessary for the care and protection of the child while under our supervision. In case of a medical emergency, the child will be transported to an appropriate medical facility.
You must understand that in some medical situations the staff will need to contact the emergency services before the child’s parent/guardian. You also agree that the parents or legal guardians are responsible for any expenses incurred. I agree to hold harmless from any and all liability BOSS directors/employees in professional capacity and personally for any injuries or illnesses resulting from or in any way connected with his or her participation in BOSS classes or activities.
To keep Students safe in class it is imperative that they wear suitable footwear and clothing at all times. This being barefoot or jazz/ballet pumps (no chunky trainers, tights or socks). We also request that children attend classes in BOSS Acting School uniform, we find that children remain more focussed in class.
While under supervision of the BOSS Staff, no child is allowed to leave the building unattended without prior written permission, and that the parent/ guardian assumes full responsibility for the actions and behaviour of the child.
All BOSS teachers are DBS checked and adhere to child protection laws and policies, which indicates that any information which suggests that a child has been abused will be passed onto the social services department and/or the police.
The personal data (as it is defined in the Data Protection Act 2018) of a Student and/or Parent will be protected by BOSS Acting School LTD.
A teacher may, at any time, ask your child to leave a class if he/she is jeopardizing the safety or enjoyment of others or their educational experience.
We may terminate your membership and discontinue the child's entitlement to attend the school in the event of serious or repeated breach of these membership rules.
We reserve the right to make changes to these rules.
